We are very pleased to announce the following additions and changes to our team to enhance how we serve our clients. Our focus remains on ensuring we support our clients to succeed with their opportunities throughout Western Canada.
Douwe van der Molen has replaced me as President of Concept Electric Ltd. and Concept Industries Ltd. as of February 1, 2016. Douwe is a senior construction executive with over 25 years of extensive experience in the construction industry, including international roles. He has held senior management positions at ATCO Structures and Logistics Ltd, Suncor Energy Services, Flint Energy Services, Dominion Construction and most recently Fluor Canada. His strong leadership will ensure our continued focus on our clients and their needs.
Darryl Polowaniuk will join Concept on March 14 in the role of Vice President of Service for Western Canada. Darryl has over 22 years’ experience in progressive leadership roles in General Management, Operational Management, Project Management, Sales and Sales Management throughout Western Canada in private, corporate, Government and global organizations most recently at Siemens and Johnson Controls. Darryl’s primary focus will be growth of Concept’s Service Division with a focus on operational excellence and customer service. In addition Darryl is the Western Canadian Regional Vice President for the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) of which he has been a member since 1993. He will initially be located in Edmonton and oversee our Service operations for Western Canada.
Kelly Pratt will be joining us in the role of Strategic Business Development. Kelly has over 30 years’ experience with the City of Calgary, most recently as Operations Manager, Facility Management. His technical expertise in electrical, mechanical, and building management systems positions him to be a valued business partner to serve our clients’ requirements. Kelly’s focus will be to collaborate with our clients around energy savings initiatives.
Bob Gillis, our former General Manager of Service, will lead our “ISO Ready by 2018” initiative as Vice President, Business Systems. In this role Bob is responsible for the integration of Concept’s major business systems (Jonas, Salesforce, DataMart, Business Intelligence tools) and associated business processes. This will enhance our ability to respond to our customers and ensure we are easy to do business with. The advancement of products/processes such as eMobile and eService will allow for greater visibility for clients to see their asset information within Concept’s system. This new focus provides a dedicated resource to ensure our employees are fully equipped and trained in the delivery of high quality and reliable solutions for our Customers.
I will remain in the role of Chief Executive Officer and continue to work closely with the executive team and external partners to ensure the growth of Concept’s network and to strengthen relationships.
